Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with iBi Solutions for Cognos Support and Development Work (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Establishing and maintaining analytics in the form of dashboards and scorecards for instructional staff and administrators is a top priority under the Empowering Effective Teachers Initiative. Cognos is the tool the district uses for this purpose and iBi Solutions is a nationally-recognized consulting firm that provides services in this area for Fortune 500 companies as well as the public education sector. This Agreement for Technical Services is necessary in order to bring the expertise of iBi Solutions to our district to work alongside our Information Technology staff as we continue to develop dashboards and scorecards for district use. Consultants from iBi Solutions will work up to 700 hours as required to design and develop custom reports using TM1, Cognos Report Studio, and Workspace, provide system administration and tuning tasks, and review the work of district staff and other consultants.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds are not to exceed $80,500 for the period from the approval of this agreement through June 30, 2015.  Funds are included in the Information and Technology Division budget for this expense
EVALUATION
Information Services staff will evaluate the consulting agreement with iBi Solutions based on the accuracy and timeliness of the deliverables as outlined in the Statement of Work. District staff monitors and reviews iBi Solutions' performance through status reports and discussions during weekly status meetings and project plan reviews.
