Approve Agreement with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to Establish an Aerospace Career Academy with Dual-Enrollment Courses at Robinson High School (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This agreement will establish an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Aerospace Career Academy (ACA) at Robinson High School. The objective of the ACA is to introduce high school students to collegiate and professional trade-level study with a focus on professional aeronautical topics leading to both high school graduation credits and college credits for courses completed.
ERAU will provide both teacher training and curriculum materials to implement this program. ACA courses will be taught by the current teacher by mutual agreement of ERAU and Hillsborough County Public Schools and who will be credentialed and qualified to teach under the criteria established by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). |

Career and Technical Education staff will evaluate this agreement based on the number of students earning the dual-enrollment credit for the 2014/2015 school year. | |
