EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, passed by Congress in December 2010, authorized the service of after-school meals or dinners in all states through the Child Care Food Program (CCFP), administered by the Florida Department of Health (DOH).  Student Nutrition Services (SNS) participation in the program was approved by the School Board at the February 19, 2013 meeting (Agenda Item Number A 5.07).  The program is automatically renewed each year unless terminated by the district or DOH.  DOH has revised the Delegation of Signing Authority for the Child Care Food Program.  This delegation is to allow signing for routine paperwork and is similar to the signature protocol for the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and After School Snack Program administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered through the Florida Department of Health.  The projected funding for the 2014/2015 school year is approximately $275,000, which will cover the costs of the program.
