SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Naming of the Baseball Field at Gaither High School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Gaither High School faculty, staff, PTSA, Athletic Booster/Band Club,  and community members have requested that the baseball field at Gaither High School be named the Frank Permuy Park.

Coach Permuy was the first baseball coach when Gaither High School opened in 1984, coached the Cowboys for 30 seasons and retired this past spring, 2014.  Several student athletes have moved on to play ball in college and professionally after having played under the instruction of Coach Permuy.    Coach Permuy demonstrated incredible devotion.  He spent many countless hours perfecting the baseball facility and developing players to be the best they could be.

It would be an honor to the faculty, staff, PTSA, Athletic Booster/Band Club,  and community members to have the baseball field named the Frank Permuy Park.
