SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with RMC Research Corporation for the Evaluation of the Title X, Part C: Education for Homeless Children and Youth Project (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of this agreement is requested in order to meet the evaluation requirement of the Title X, Part C: Education for Homeless Children and Youth Project grant and provide program progress findings to inform continual program improvement. RMC Research Corporation was selected to serve as a third party project evaluator based on their responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) 11143-DST Program Evaluation Services. The RFP process provides an opportunity for all interested evaluators to apply as potential Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) program evaluation providers.

This agenda item approves the evaluator services for the first year of this appropriation-renewed Florida Department of Education entitlement grant. Grant evaluation services include measuring the success of the grant-supported activities in implementing the program purpose to ensure that homeless children and youth have equal access to the same free, appropriate education available to non-homeless children. The evaluation will provide program evaluation in compliance with the grant funding agency regulations and the needs of HCPS.
