Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at Witter Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for replacement of the majority of the roof at Witter Elementary School.  District staff selected Weber & Tinnen, P.A. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.  The scope of work includes removal and replacement of most roof areas at the school.

The project was advertised and bids received (see attached bid tabulation).  Award of the contract for construction to the lowest qualified bidder, R.F. Lusa & Sons Sheetmetal, Inc., is recommended.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $866,000 are included for the project in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.   The contract amount being awarded is $865,691
