Accept the Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bid Submitted by AFP Industries, Inc. - Invitation to Bid (ITB) #15032-EST Calculator TI-30XA (One-Time Purchase) (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This bid was prepared at the request of the Curriculum and Instruction Division to provide scientific calculators meeting specification requirements of the Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) Mathematics tests for students in Grades 7 and 8.  The calculators will be available for classroom use and testing.

Award of this bid shall be to the overall lowest bidder, as specified in the bid.   Florida Statute 287.084 Preference to Florida businesses required the district to accept the second lowest bidder (the lowest Florida-based vendor's bid) as the lowest acceptable bid at an additional cost of $3,385 to the district.

Total cost is $100,320.  Funds are included in the Curriculum and Instruction Division’s budget.
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
