Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Frameworks of Tampa Bay, Inc. for Services Associated with the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Community Building Sessions (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Frameworks of Tampa Bay, Inc. will provide professional development training, coaching support, materials, and resources necessary to facilitate the SEL Community Building Sessions as part of the Student Trajectory Enhancement Program (STEP). This program will be implemented in 26 middle schools during the 2015 Extended School Year (ESY) program. Students in STEP will participate in daily Community Building Sessions over a period of six weeks that will focus on self-control, stress management, effective communication, and school connectedness. Students will also participate in activities that will develop skills and strategies to decrease physical and verbal aggression. | |

Funds in the amount of $15,050 are available from district Supplemental Academic Instruction (SAI) funds, Project 4624. | |
EVALUATION | |
Surveys will be administered to teachers and students to determine program effectiveness and satisfaction. Results will be submitted to the Curriculum and Instruction Division and the Frameworks Director of Education. | |
