EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) is the official scholastic journalism organization for high school students in the state of Florida.  The organization recognizes outstanding students, teachers, and productions across all categories of print, broadcast, and mixed platform media.

Hillsborough County Public Schools received recognition for several individual and team awards.  The Emerging Young Journalist in 2015 recognizes the freshman or sophomore high school student in Florida who shows the most journalistic promise.  The Florida Student Journalist of the Year recognizes the high school senior in Florida who demonstrates excellence in student journalism based on a review of a portfolio of writing, design, photography, broadcast journalism, and online media.

Prior to the event, students across Florida submitted samples of their best work for review, earning "All Florida" and "Best of the Best" honors for individual works and full publications.  At the conference, students participated in a variety of "On the Spot" competitions, earning awards in twelve additional contest categories.
