Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Hammerhead Steel Drums LLC for the Extended Learning Academies at Edison and Potter Elementary Schools and McLane and Sligh Middle Schools (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Hammerhead Steel Drums LLC will provide 1-hour percussion lessons 2 times per day to a total of 120 students at Edison and Potter Elementary Schools and McLane and Sligh Middle Schools. Students from all four schools will also receive instruction on drum line, steel drums, and barred instruments. | |

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
Funds in the amount of $19,200 will be available from the School Improvement Grant, Project #2856. | |
EVALUATION | |
Students will demonstrate their learning through performances at the conclusion of the Extended Learning Academies. | |
