EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Men of Vision shares the mission "provide an opportunity for young men to work in a fellowship dedicated to community service, encourage the practices of responsibility and accountability, and promote academic achievement and vision for their future."

Under the leadership of founder, Ross Anderson, during the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Steinbrenner High School students: Pierre Alsint, Marquavis Hamilton, Timothy Myers, Sheridan Thompson, and Kierion White, and Freedom High School student Johara Simpson visited Selma, Alabama, the site of the historic Civil Rights “Bloody Sunday March" of 1965.  This trip, during the 50th Anniversary Commemoration, provided a reminder for youth to participate in the political process and peacefully speak up about racial injustice and poverty in American society.

Mr. Anderson, a resource teacher at Van Buren Middle and Steinbrenner High schools, exemplifies the guiding principles of responsibility, accountability, decision making, respect, and works with students to achieve their academic and life goals. He believes that the right to vote is the most non-violent tool in our democratic society to thwart injustice and support the constitutional rights of all citizens.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
