| Approve the Piggyback Between Synovia Solutions, LLC and the School Board of Monroe County Vehicle Tracking/Global Positioning System Request for Proposal (RFP) #2014546 (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| If approved, this piggyback will provide districtwide purchasing of global positioning systems (GPS) from Synovia Solutions, LLC. Annual maintenance fees cover GPS software and comparative analysis for 1,402 school buses and GPS software for 437 fleet vehicles.
The initial term of this contract is from September 24, 2014, through September 23, 2015, and may be renewed for a period that may not exceed three years. Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective June 24, 2015. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. In accordance with the Florida Department of Education, Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specified prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. |

| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
