SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Acceptance of Project for Roof Replacement at Stewart Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of selected roofs at Stewart Middle School. District staff selected Weber & Tinnen, PA and Kenyon & Partners, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The project scope provided for roof replacements on Building 2 (gymnasium, music, and locker rooms); partial areas of Building 3 (classrooms and central mechanical room); and partial areas of Building 4 (teacher dining). As part of this project, the mechanical equipment located on the locker room roof area of Building 2 was removed and reinstalled to allow for reroofing.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.
