| Approve Service Agreement #ECA-C13-SA-GCS-FY16 Between Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. d/b/a Eckerd Community Alternatives, (ECKERD) and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) (Student Services Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| HCPS has developed working relationships and services to support the educational success for students placed with licensed foster care families. Several local providers including the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and ECKERD work together to support educational success for these students.
HCPS will provide a team of five employees during 2015/2016, to include; two high school counselors, one middle school counselor, and two school social workers, one will serve as the education court liaison. |

| ECKERD will contribute funds to the district for salary, routine travel, benefits, and equipment/supplies in an amount not to exceed $166,416. These funds will support, one middle and high school counselor as well as 50 percent of the cost for one school social worker to serve as the educational court liaison. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Program services are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Individual support, guidance, and progress monitoring is provided at school sites for each participating student. The Supervisor and Coordinator of School Social Work Services meet with program staff for program service planning and implementation. An annual report of student achievement is provided in collaboration with the Department of Assessment and Accountability to make recommendations and improve services for youth. | |
