Information Regarding Revenue Generated from the Marketing Rights Agreement Between Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) and Education Funding Partners (EFP) for a Limited Time Web Advertising Pilot (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On September 30, 2014, the Board approved the Marketing Rights Agreement between HCPS and EFP for a limited, web-advertising pilot. Microsoft partnered with EFP to promote free Microsoft products to our students and employees. Students and employees were able to download and install free Microsoft Office ProPlus applications (valued at $129) on up to five of their home devices. HCPS assisted in the promotion by providing a website link on our HCPS home page, Twitter posts, parent E-newsletters, and in-school posters.
The initial three-month agreement was extended through June 30, 2015. HCPS received a check in the amount of $47,567 and expects to receive another payment for $12,966 for a total revenue generation of $60,533.
EFP is a national marketing company that assists school districts in raising funds through Fortune 500 corporate sponsorships. They work exclusively with K-12 public education, matching socially responsible and appropriate sponsors with school districts. |
