Approve Acceptance of Project for Modular Additions at Two Sites (East Bay, Lois)

To provide better control and coordination, District staff proposed relocation of Transportation staff aligned with Administrative Areas 2 and 5 to nearby bus compounds in conjunction with the replacement of the portable facilities in which the staff were housed.  District staff combined the Transportation staff requirements into a single project and selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.  The project scope provided for construction of new modular facilities at Lois Center (Area 2) and East Bay High School (Area 5) to support the relocation.  In addition to the new modular offices, the project scope included improvements to the bus parking area at East Bay High School.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.
