| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On June 9, 2015, the Board accepted the proposal submitted by PepsiCo Inc. in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) #15047-EST Beverage Sponsorship. Customarily the RFP, the vendor's response, and subsequent changes resulting from the best and final offer become HCPS contract as stated in our RFP document. “This RFP, the related responses of the selected Proposer(s), negotiated best and final offer, statement of work, or any mutually approved documents will constitute the basis of the formal contract between the Proposer(s) and HCPS.”
This agreement finalizes the partnership and reflects all the terms and conditions from the documents reviewed by the RFP committee with additional clauses regarding funding payments and their timing. The agreement is dated effective July 1, 2015, to coincide with the beginning of the fiscal year and prevent delay of funding checks to schools. The executive summary from the June 9, 2015, agenda contained a scrivener's error. The statement “PepsiCo provided 150 scoreboards to high and middle schools; however, HCPS retained title to the equipment” should read “PepsiCo provided 150 scoreboards to high and middle schools; however, PepsiCo retained title to the equipment." |

| Funds will be available in the Student Nutrition Services Department budget for the purchase of beverages. Expenditures were $845,065 for 2014/2015 and $1,243,857 for 2013/2014. The value of the funding program portion of this contract, in cash, product, and services is approximately $8,500,000 for the initial seven-year term. | |
