Approve the Payment of Materials Provided by Invent Now, Inc. for the 2015 Summer Migrant Program (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We are requesting approval for payment of the curriculum materials provided during the summer migrant program at five elementary and four middle schools. A total of 410 students were enrolled with 90 percent remaining in attendance for the duration of the four-week program. This was an increase over last year. The use of the materials was outlined in the Summer Program Plan submitted and approved by the State in April 2015.
Invent Now, Inc. owns the copyright to all materials utilized in the program and is exempt from the requesting competitive solicitations by the Florida Department of Education 6A.-1.012 Purchasing Policies (11) (b). |

Funding for this program was budgeted and is available in the amount of $62,400 from Title I, Part C Migrant Grant. | |

The success of the program was evaluated with pre- and posttests. An outcome report will be submitted to the State in September 2015. | |
