| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| If approved, the piggyback will allow the Transportation Department to purchase International/Navistar parts at an additional 3 percent discount.
The initial term of this contract is from August 13, 2014, through August 12, 2017, and may be renewed for three one-year periods. Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) will commence its use effective September 30, 2015. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. In accordance with the Florida Department of Education, Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specified prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. |

| Expenditures were $1,754,500 for 2014/2015. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to Transportation Bus Repairs/Fuel/Oil is 5335. The expenditure amount of $1,754,500 is 12.2 percent of the total project budget. As of September 14, 2015, the budgeted amount for the Transportation Department in project 5335 equals $6,788,535. Based on expenditures for 2014/2015 in the amount of $1,754,500, HCPS will realize a savings of $52,635. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
