Approve Districtwide Comprehensive Safety Inspections Annual Report
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida Statute 1013.12 mandates an annual comprehensive fire safety, casualty, and sanitation inspection be conducted each school year. The completed inspections are available for review at the District Safety Office, and a copy will be forwarded to the State Fire Marshal’s Office as required by this statute. Deficiencies that posed an imminently dangerous condition were immediately reported by the Fire and Safety Inspector for priority correction. Each deficiency in this category was expedited upon receipt and resolved, none remain at this time. The consolidated inspection report is attached.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
During the 2014-2015 school year, $7,509,627 was expended from the following funds to correct 6,222 health, life, and safety deficiencies: Maintenance Budget - $1,907,102; Planning and Construction Budget (included in scheduled renovations) - $5,602,525.
