Matching Funds Projects at 15 Schools:  Alafia Elementary, Bailey Elementary, Cimino Elementary, Citrus Park Elementary, Durant High, Freedom High, Hill Middle, Lewis Elementary, Lithia Springs Elementary, Orange Grove Middle Magnet, Seminole Elementary, Steinbrenner High, Sulphur Springs Elementary, Wilson Middle, and Yates Elementary Schools

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Matching Funds Program was established in 2001-2002 by the Superintendent to assist schools and their partners in raising funds for capital improvements by matching dollars in any amount up to $50,000.  On October 26, 2009, a committee comprised of elementary, middle and high school principals and the Operations Division met to review and update the program procedures to be effective for the 2010-2011 fiscal year (revised procedures attached).

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Total project expenditures are provided on the attached.

Expenditures are funded as follows:  A minimum contribution of 50% of the project cost and the balance from Millage Matching Funds, not to exceed $50,000.
