Approve Memorandum of Agreement Between The Children's Home Society of Florida and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, for the Provision of Services at Mort Elementary (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Children's Home Society of Florida will provide individual, group, and family mental health counseling services to students and families at Mort Elementary. The goal of this service is to improve mental health and emotional well-being and increase the academic success of students. Services are provided during the school day on a voluntary basis and only with parental consent. Examples of children to be referred include children who appear to be suffering from depression, anxiety, bullying others or being bullied, children exhibiting high-risk behaviors that increase the potential for academic failure, suspension or expulsion from the traditional school setting, or children having trouble adjusting to changes in their home and school environment.

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression

EVALUATION
Children's Home Society of Florida will provide the School District with quarterly and annual outcome data on all clients served including the number served, the total number of referrals received from the school and number of students referred for other services.
