Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for a Classroom Addition and Remodeling at Newsome High School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Additional capacity is required at Newsome High School to support population growth in the area surrounding the school. On April 21, 2015, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects, Inc. and Allstate Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for a classroom addition and remodeling. The project scope includes the addition of 20 classrooms adding 500 student stations, remodeling the existing cafeteria and administrative suite to provide additional dining capacity and staff offices, and expansion of existing parking. |

Funds in the amount of $9,500,000.00 will be available in the Impact Fees. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8592. As of Thursday, November 5, 2015, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $8,942,167.37. The Guaranteed Maximum Price recommended for approval is $7,999,934. | |
