| Approve Educational Agreement for Services with Masonry Contractors Association of Florida, (Gulf Coast) Committee, Erwin Technical College - 2015/2016 (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval of the Educational Agreement to provide training for the Masonry Contractors Association of Florida, (Gulf Coast) apprenticeship committee.
The apprenticeship committee will be compensated $0.95 per instructional hour for each registered apprentice. The contracted funds will be used to cover instructor salaries/benefits; program promotion; instructional materials and supplies; equipment upgrade, replacement, and repair; other supervisory and administrative costs to include, but not limited to, lease expenses for classroom facilities and equipment, travel, mileage, conferences, and professional meetings. |

| FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
| Funds in the amount of $38,699.20 will be available in the divisional general operating budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 9050. As of Tuesday, November 17, 2015, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $195,275.80. The apprenticeship training programs generate Workforce Education funds that cover all district direct and indirect expenses for the programs. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| The quality of the program will be evaluated annually for compliance with the Florida Department of Education and the Federal Bureau of Apprenticeship Training. Student achievement is evaluated by the number of Occupational Completion points earned by the registered apprentices. | |
