| Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Keith M. Sturges for the Evaluation of the District Instructional Leadership Grant (Information and Technology Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| This agreement is required to meet the evaluation requirement of the district Instructional Leadership Grant to assess the effectiveness of project activities to fulfill the project purpose, priorities, and expected grant outcomes. Keith M. Sturges was selected to serve as a third-party project evaluator based on responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) 11143-DST Program Evaluation Services. The RFP process provided an opportunity for all interested evaluators to apply as potential Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) program evaluation providers.
The district Instructional Leadership Grant is a one-year grant project. The evaluation will provide program evaluation in compliance with the grant funding agency regulations and the needs of HCPS. The purpose of the district Instructional Leadership Grant is to provide professional development to area superintendents for principals and other district administrators in instructional and human resource leadership positions. The project will assist district administrators to improve instruction, aligning instruction with the district’s curriculum and state standards, best financial practices, and other leadership responsibilities that support student achievement. | Funds in the amount of $40,000.00 will be available in the Special Revenue (Grant) for District Instructional Leadership. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 2930. As of Thursday, December 10, 2015, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $510,065.00. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| The Coordinator of Grant Evaluations within the Assessment and Accountability Department has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator. The coordinator oversees the activities and tracks to ensure completion and transmission of required reports to the funding agency. | |
