Approve the Memorandum of Agreement with After-School All-Stars, Inc. for Providing Before and After School Programs at Memorial Middle School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In September 2015, the City of Tampa agreed to make available financial and systems support to After-School All-Stars, Inc. to implement before and after school programs in Hillsborough County middle schools located within the Tampa city limits. This agreement will allow the program to launch at Memorial Middle School, with the option to scale out the project to additional sites pending approval of the School Board.

After-School All-Stars, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation chartered to positively impact the lives of youth, break down barriers to success, and fill discretionary time with positive experiences. Further, the program aims to help youth develop skills, build self-esteem, and enhance confidence.  The program will be implemented beginning the second semester of the 2015/2016 school year through the commencement of the 2017/2018 school year.

• Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
All funding necessary to implement the program will be provided through the existing agreement between the City of Tampa and After-School All-Stars, Inc. After-School All-Stars, Inc. is responsible for compensating all personnel employed in conjunction with the program and for the provision of all program supplies necessary to carry out program activities.
EVALUATION
Upon review and approval through the district's Office of Assessment and Accountability research review process, Memorial Middle School administrators and staff will have the option of voluntarily participating in evaluations of this program conducted by After-School All-Stars, Inc. or its representative.
