Approve the Affiliation Agreement with Keiser University – Lakeland Campus to Allow Select Dietetic Interns to Complete a part of the Required Education Rotation with Student Nutrition Services Department (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Keiser University provides a core curriculum in dietetics and nutrition. As a part of this course of study, students are required to obtain unpaid work experience under the supervision of a registered dietitian. The partnership between Student Nutrition Services (SNS) and Keiser University provides students a valuable experience that revolves around feeding children healthy meals at schools. The students will work with a SNS dietitian and other staff on projects that continue to improve our local program. This partnership also offers students an opportunity to explore career opportunities in school food service.
This contract was reviewed and approved by the School Board Attorney on December 7, 2015. |
