Approve Memorandum of Agreement with the Hillsborough County Department of Health (HCDOH) for Comprehensive Grant Dollars (Student Services Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This agreement provides Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) with 13 registered nurses to work in our schools to provide basic school health services. The Supervisor of School Health Services will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of nurses hired under the program. This funding is used for salaries and other costs associated with these 13 registered nurses and is paid directly to them by the HCDOH. This agreement has been in effect for over 20 years. | |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
There is no financial impact to HCPS. Funding in the amount of $596,501 from Federal Title XXI dollars is provided to HCDOH and is used to provide nursing services to HCPS. Nurses will be paid directly by HCDOH. | |
EVALUATION | |
The School Health Services annual report and plans are submitted to the DOH each August. Data is collected from monthly reports submitted by the School Nurses. | |
