Adopt Resolution Proclaiming the Month of April 2016 as “Child Abuse Prevention Month” in Hillsborough County (Student Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In April 1985, the President of the United States declared the first “Child Abuse Prevention Month.” The Keeping Kids Safe Partnership and its Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign is a collaborative effort of community members dedicated to improving child safety and well-being organized through the leadership of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. Together with this partnership, Hillsborough County Public Schools is working to increase awareness of child abuse, how to stop it, and how to prevent it in our district. Through collaborative efforts among neighbors, community groups, faith-based organizations, schools, businesses, law enforcement, the courts, and government agencies in Hillsborough County, we hope to value, nurture, support, and advocate for our children and their well-being.
