Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with CompassLearning, Inc. at Everyday Blessings, Joshua House, Metropolitan Ministries, The Children's Home, and The Spring (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
CompassLearning, Inc. (CompassLearning) will provide three days of professional development training covering K-12 content bundles in Math and English Language Arts (Reading/English) for 100 Pathblazer license subscriptions.  The subscriptions will be used at four sites.  Additionally, an unlimited number of Pathblazer license subscriptions and Diploma Equivalency to prepare students for the General Educational Development exam will be provided for use at Metropolitan Ministries. 
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $30,735.82 will be available in the Title I, Part D grant Budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 2929. As of Friday, February 19, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $394,807.24. This contract will be paid using Title I, Part D grant funds in the amount of $ 30,735.82.
EVALUATION
CompassLearning will administer a pretest and posttests at the beginning and end of the contract period to participating students to determine if documented objectives of the program were achieved.  Progress reports will be shared regularly with district staff, the program supervisor, and/or designee to discuss progress of the program objectives during the contract period.  Data will be analyzed to determine the success of the program and future contracts with the provider. At the conclusion of the program, a final report will be shared with district staff.
