On May 17, 2011, The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, a body corporate, approved the first five-year automatic renewal term of the Communication Exclusive Master Lease with Collier Enterprises II, LLC.  Collier Enterprises leases land for wireless tower use on various school district sites.  The first automatic renewal term will expire on June 5, 2016, and the second five-year renewal term commences June 6, 2016, until June 5, 2021, with three five-year renewal terms remaining.  This Master Lease may be terminated by either party with 180 days prior written notice as stated in Paragraph 5.  The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement, per the terms of the specifications.

This is a revenue generating contract.  Seventy percent (70%) of the proceeds are provided to the school leasing the land with the district retaining a thirty percent (30%) portion. 

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Purchasing Officer, who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an on-line vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
