EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The purpose of GEAR UP: Project SCORE is to increase early college awareness among targeted students from the GEAR UP sites (Eisenhower Middle School, Giunta Middle School, East Bay High School, and Spoto High School) in Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) by expanding services and enhancing resources to serve students, educators, and schools via its proposed project.
This agreement with Kagan will include: 4 workshop days in June 2016 for 7 trainers who, in turn, will hold workshops for 150 teachers from the GEAR UP sites. The trainers will receive instruction on how to differentiate instruction and how to assess cooperative learning in the classroom when a group assignment has been made. Teachers in all core subject areas have asked for this assistance. This training will give teachers a new method of assisting students needing a less traditional approach to the delivery of the subject material. |
