Mr. Rick Rios, Chair, South Shore Council, Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, has been a wonderful partner with HCPS.  The generosity shown to our students will have a positive impact on our students for many years to come.

HCPS would like to recognize The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay for providing funds in support of the following schools:

• $16,735 for the purchase of 30 laptop computers to better serve the students of Summerfield Elementary throughout the school year for various research and curricular based projects. 
• $25,000 along with matching funds to Doby Elementary School, to purchase computers, wireless miccrophones for the music department, and upgrades to their studio.
• $20,000 to Eisenhower Middle School, to fund a new literacy program.  The literacy program is a joint effort between Eisenhower Middle Schools' reading department and media center to expand access to e-books and electronic resources by establishing a new Mobile Media Lab.  The funds will be especially helpful in filling the technology gap for students who do not have access to electronic resources at home.
