EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Hillsborough County Public Schools continues to play a critical role in providing a quality education program to the Tampa Bay community. With over 270 schools and a diverse student enrollment of over 212,000 students and 27,000 employees, the Superintendent of Schools has the responsibility of creating leadership positions and selecting individuals that will assist in serving the needs of the school district who embrace the vision and mission set by the School Board and the Superintendent of Schools. After consultation with School Board Members, district employees, legal counsel, feedback from teachers at town hall meetings and other teacher venues, various councils, and input and recommendations from Gibson Consulting during the auditing process, it is the Superintendent of Schools' recommendation to implement Phase II of a District Reorganization Plan.

Phase II of the District Reorganization Plan will result in the cost savings of $236,208.49 in the Part 1 General Revenue Fund.
Federal Funds - $84,064.80 Career and Tech $14,492.00 Grants $58,940.42 Will be used to cover the remaining costs. |

EVALUATION | |
The reorganization plan will be reviewed quarterly to determine effectiveness. Metrics will be developed for each position and department. Metrics will align with the District's Strategic Plan. District and community surveys will be customized in order to receive feedback regarding the reorganizational plan. Data will be monitored regularly and be used for evaluation and future reorganization decisions. | |
