Approve the Job Description for the Tech Support School Rep  (Information and Technology Division) 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Tech Support School Rep position is needed to provide school site technical support for elementary sites, as well as to fill vacancies at middle and high school sites as individuals that provide site based technical support.  These positions will be filled through attrition.

This is a technical position encompassing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of computer networks, workstations, and all other technology devices utilized by school personnel.

This position will serve as the first level of support, handling 2-3 sites, providing onsite technical assistance in the installation of software, networks, and computer equipment. Responsibilities include serving as technical liaison for district/school staff and the existing Area Field Support staff.

The Area Field Support staff will continue to provide advanced technical support and functions as the second level of support for schools. Each Area Field Support covers approximately 23-30 sites.

The District’s Technology Operations Center will continue to provide a third layer of support addressing technology repair and warranty services. This layered approach will improve response times, provide better customer service and will supplement the existing Area Support.
