| Approve Grant Agreement Between Franklin Covey Client Sales, Inc., Leader.org, and Lanier Elementary School for The Leader in Me Grant Project (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Lanier Elementary School was awarded a five-year grant funded by the I Am A Leader Foundation. The goal of the grant project is to transform the school’s culture through implementation of The Leader in Me character education program. The Leader in Me is a school transformation process that teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. This agreement will cover all five years of the project.
As required by the I Am A Leader Foundation, The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida will be the first signer on the grant agreement. |

| This is a 5-year project beginning on June 15, 2016. Franklin Covey Client Sales, Inc. is providing funding for the first three years to launch the project. Lanier Elementary School is responsible for contributing funds during all five years of the project to ensure sustainability. The Leader in Me grant funds totaling $23,944.82 will be available for years 1 through 3 to support the project as outlined in the agreement. Lanier Elementary School will be responsible for contributing $6,150 in Title I funding toward the project each year for 5 years. The project number specific to this agenda item will be assigned upon receipt of the grant funds. | |

| Lanier Elementary School is responsible for reporting its project evaluation to the funding agency as described in the grant agreement. | |
