| Accept the Piggyback of the Agreement Between Scholastic, Inc. and The School Board of Marion County, Florida (SBMC), Bid #3559AH - New and Used Books and Educational Materials (Business Services) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| If approved, school and district sites will utilize this contract to purchase instructional supplies, teaching aids, and materials from Scholastic Teacher Resources Catalog, Scholastic Education Catalog, Scholastic Professional Catalog, and Storia School Edition. The initial term of the SBMC contract is from August 12, 2015, through August 11, 2016, with 1-year renewals for 3 years. Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective June 15, 2016.
In accordance with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specific prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. |

| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
