Approve Job Descriptions for the Teaching Tools Store
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Teaching Tools Store movement from the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) to a district department, which will fall under the Deputy Superintendent’s direction, was Board approved on December 15, 2015. This movement is to ensure compliance with the Florida Auditor General’s Office and Florida Statute 1001.453. The four Teaching Tools Store employees will continue the day-to-day work duties and the Teaching Tools Store remains in the hands of HEF.

As part of this movement, we are submitting four job descriptions for your approval.

  • Manager, Teaching Tools Store
  • Analyst, Teaching Tools Store
  • Senior Customer Service Representative, Teaching Tools Store
  • Manager 1, Teaching Tools Store

The four Teaching Tools Store employees will begin employment with Hillsborough County Public Schools as of July 1, 2016.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Align financial resources to support the district's strategic goals • Demonstrate best financial practices • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds will be available in the amount of $73,950.80 (Part 1) and $128,201.17 (Title 1) for the Teaching Tools Store positions.
EVALUATION
Hillsborough County Public Schools will annually evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of the Teaching Tools Store program.
