| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Title II, Part A entitlement grant will provide funds for the purpose of recruiting and training staff in the following areas:

| • Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration | |
| FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
| If approved, grant funds will be available in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget Title II in the anticipated amount of $6,307,000. For tracking purposes, the projects specific to this agenda item are 3337, 3338, and 3389. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| By September 30, 2018, a comprehensive evaluation of the 2017/2018 Title II, Part A Project will be completed. The information will be used to prioritize and direct Title II dollars toward programs and trainings that are closing the achievement gap and improving teacher performance. | |
