Revise the Agreement with Hillsborough County Lacrosse Alliance, Inc. (HALAX) Beginning with the 2017/2018 Lacrosse Season (Educational Access, Opportunity, & Alternatives Division) Revised Attachment
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools and HALAX entered an agreement in 2012 for a pilot program of Lacrosse.  After four years of a successful program, Hillsborough County Public Schools will assume the operation and all oversight for the Lacrosse program beginning with the 2017/2018 school year.  The Lacrosse program will continue to be a pay-for-play program meaning all costs will be covered by the participants of the sport.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The Lacrosse program is a pay-for-play program.  The total cost of the program is $132,370, and will be covered by the participants of the sport.
EVALUATION
Annual review of the Athletic Program will include evaluation of the Lacrosse program.
