SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Accept the Piggyback of the Agreement between Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc. - Invitation to Bid (ITB) ITB-P-0173-0-2013/CK CISCO Hardware, Software, Maintenance, and Maintenance Contract Administration for SMARTnet Maintenance (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Cisco Systems, Inc. SMARTnet Service includes both hardware and software support for Cisco equipment and provides direct access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to specialized experts in the Cisco Technical Assistance Center. This maintenance is needed to ensure schools have network connectivity to the Internet, district online resources, and to support online testing and teaching aids. Piggyback agreements may be terminated at any time. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually, and may be renewed by the Superintendent per the terms of the specifications.  In accordance with the Florida Department of Education Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specific prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $75,118.80 will be available in the Information Technology budget.  There is no specific project number assigned for this purchase.  Funds will be allocated in the 2017/2018 fiscal year.
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
