A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation at Cypress Creek Elementary School. On September 19, 2017, the Board appointed Lyle Engineering Group, Inc. and Creative Contractors, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consists of upgrading the Energy Management System (EMS), variable air volume (VAV) boxes, dedicated Direct Expansion (DX) and Open System Adapter (OSA) system and controls.

Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System Replacement at Cypress Creek Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation at Cypress Creek Elementary School. On September 19, 2017, the Board appointed Lyle Engineering Group, Inc. and Creative Contractors, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consists of upgrading the Energy Management System (EMS), variable air volume (VAV) boxes, dedicated Direct Expansion (DX) and Open System Adapter (OSA) system and controls. Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project. Project completion is scheduled for July 31, 2018.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds in the amount of $3,838,853.96 will be available in the Sales Tax Revenue and Local Millage Funds. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8200. As of Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $3,173,035.30. The Guaranteed Maximum Price recommended for approval is $3,466,333.
