Approve Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement Between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County for Improvements Required by the Citrus Park Drive Extension Project at Deer Park Elementary School

On April 15, 2009, the School Board of Hillsborough County entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County for the Citrus Park Drive roadway extension project.  Citrus Park Drive is the access road for Deer Park Elementary School.  The County has requested to amend the Interlocal to allow for the redesign of the school's driveway to work with the revised roadway improvements.  The County will be responsible for the design, construction and cost of the improvements and coordinate with the School District's Florida Building Code Manager and school personnel.

The amendment to the Interlocal Agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form and sufficiency by the School Board's real estate legal counsel.  The Amendment will be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for approval at the County's June 6, 2018, regular meeting.  Hillsborough County requires the School Board's signature, as the subcontracted agency, to acknowledge acceptance of this contract prior to Hillsborough County's final signature.

Approval of the Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County for the design, construction and cost of the modified circular driveway at Deer Park Elementary School will have no financial impact to the School Board.  Hillsborough County is responsible for all costs associated with the roadway improvement project for Citrus Park Drive.
