High Impact Teachers (Human Resources Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On Thursday, March 8, 2018, Commissioner Stewart sent emails congratulating teachers throughout the state for being “High Impact” using State VAM calculations. Attached to this agenda item are the names of our district’s “High Impact” teachers, the certificate, the teacher sample letter, and the principal sample letter.

Not all Hillsborough County teachers are eligible to be identified as “High Impact” because the state uses the following criteria:
  • Mathematics (Grades 4-8)
  • English Language Arts (Grades 4-10)
  • Algebra 1 (Grades 8 and 9 only)
The state defines “High Impact” teachers as those who make a significantly positive impact on student learning.

We congratulate and celebrate these teachers.
