| Approve the Renewal of the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) College Readiness System Support Agreement (Office of Teaching and Learning) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| AVID will provide one full-time staff member to support Hillsborough County Public Schools' implementation of the AVID system. This includes: leadership, direction, training, counseling, professional development, and support for faculty and administration at the AVID sites. | |

| • Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child | |
| FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
| Funds in the amount of $90,000 will be available in the Supplemental Academic Instruction (SAI)-AVID Support budget. The project number specific to this agenda item is 4607. As of April 24, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $700,540. Hillsborough County Public Schools shall be paid a total of $7,500 per month for services performed satisfactorily during the Term of the Agreement, not to exceed a total of $90,000. | |

| The evaluation will be based on the annual staff evaluation by Hillsborough County Public Schools and The AVID Center's benchmark data provided by The AVID Center. | |
