| Health Insurance Renewal for 2019 | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On March 6, 2018, the Board accepted the highest ranking reply from Humana Medical Plan, Inc. Without plan design changes for 2019, the required increase for 2019 was 3.3%. The District’s Insurance Committee subsequently met to determine appropriate plan design changes for 2019. The change for 2019 is a narrow pharmacy network which will limit the 2019 increase to 1.8% (a savings of approximately $2.6 million). With a national trend of 8%, an increase of 1.8% is truly remarkable. Highlights of the 2019 renewal include:
