SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (HCPS) and Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA Success After School (YMCA) for the Implementation and Operation of Before School and After School Programs (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the MOA is to establish an agreement between HCPS and YMCA concerning their respective roles and responsibilities. The HCPS and YMCA have partnered to provide school-age care since 1981.  For 36 years, the strength of this collaboration has ensured quality care for students and families in our community.  This one-year MOA is in effect for the purposes of serving students from August 10, 2018, and, if necessary, through the summer 2019 programming.

The YMCA supports several projects within the school district other than providing before, after, and summer school programs.  HCPS agrees to modify the standard rate calculated using the “Facilities Usage and Rental Fee Agreement.”
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Fees paid by the YMCA to HCPS for use of school sites shall be used toward operation of the school facility. The amount of $387,598.99 is the total to be paid to HCPS for the period of August 10, 2018, through August 10, 2019.
EVALUATION
Annual principal and parent surveys will be conducted and results shared with school, HCPS, or designee.  Satisfaction surveys will be among the tools used for evaluation.  Surveys will employ a Likert scale, which asks respondents to specify their level of agreement to a statement.
