Approve the Mental Health Plan for the Use of the Mental Health Assistance Allocation |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
Following the passage of Florida Senate Bill 7026, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) is requiring all school districts to develop a Mental Health Plan in order to be awarded funding from the Mental Health Assistance Allocation. Based on the state training and a review of the requirements related to this legislation, a task force was established across divisions and departments to ensure that a comprehensive, sustainable plan would be developed. The planning process sought first to identify what was needed and how it could be best provided. Following this, resources were aligned with the plan to support successful implementation and monitoring. |
