Approve the 2019/2020 Student Academic Calendar
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Attached is the recommendation from the Superintendent for the 2019/2020 calendar.  Variations to this calendar may occur in the future as mandated by statutory requirements.

EVALUATION
Representatives from each division reviewed tentative calendars and noted possible issues that may have impacted operation of school, instruction, assessments, and contract.  There was a collaboration with the Hillsborough County Teachers Association to get input from teachers on possible options.  Teachers were sent a survey on August 27, 2018.  As a result, 7,566 responded.  The results were the following: Model A - (19.38%) student days on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving Model B - (80.62%) Eight of the early release days in semester one would be converted to regular days to allow for Thanksgiving/Fall break to be five days long while still meeting credit hour requirements.
