Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System Replacement at Crestwood Elementary School (Operations Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation at Crestwood Elementary School.  On September 12, 2017, the Board appointed SGM Engineering, Inc. and Walbridge Aldinger, LLC to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consisted of the replacement of chiller plants, including system piping, air handling unit (AHU), ductwork, controls and test and balance to include assistance in the assessment of salvageable equipment and recovery of refrigerant.

The design professional has certified that the work is now fully complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $2,872,229.56 will be available in the Sales Tax Revenue and Community Investment Tax fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8200. As of Monday, February 18, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $87,153.80.
